Pielands
- Restaurant
Pielands is a New York-style pizza and sub shop in the heart of Atlanta’s Virginia-Highland neighborhood. Owned by restaurateur Billy Streck, the man behind Nina & Rafi and Hampton + Hudson, expect classic New York- and square-style pies and slices served here. This includes a grandma-style square pizza called the Noni, named for Streck’s grandmother.
Resembling the old-school slice joints and pizzerias Streck grew up around in New York, including the restaurant his grandfather and father owned, Pielands features red, white, and brick accents throughout the space and a large vintage photo of the Brooklyn Bridge in the dining room. Hundreds of pizza-themed stickers cover the walls in the restrooms and a Ms. Pac-Man machine is available for game play, which comes with its own vintage tokens.
Seating is available in the dining room, at the bar, or at tables along the sidewalk, with people ordering at the counter.
Our mission is to create a community place for people to gather, and we strive to treat our customers as regulars and regulars as family ~Billy Streck
