Proper 21, brought to DC from the New York City restaurateurs Rob Zahn and Will Strozier that own Manhattan Proper and Proper West, will open in early October 2016. Located at 1319 F Street, Proper 21 will be a high end sports bar serving All American classics with a gourmet twist created by Executive Chef Edward Janda. Proper 21 is the third location of NIEUW Group Inc.Like its predecessors, located in New York City, Proper 21 will serve contemporary American cuisine. The space will maintain the modern aesthetic and New York style of the Manhattan locations, which have best been described as Tom Ford meets Thomas Edison. The restaurant will provide the best audio & visual for sports, corporate functions, nightlife and other events.

Designed with arched ceilings and large leather banquets, the space is very inviting yet sophisticated. The walls are lined with large flat screen TVS so that your guests can catch up on the latest game, or your group can stream their own images.

Our main bar is the perfect venue for groups of 100-200 guests. The space features a full bar and five large flat screen TVs, which you are welcome use. The wall front is lined with floor to ceiling windows, letting in lots of natural light. Velvet wallpaper and white orchids create a cool, sophisticated ambiance.
