Nestled upstairs sits the warm and inviting atmosphere of our Whiskey Room.  Filled with history and tradition, this beautiful space can accommodate up to 25 people seated, or 50 people reception style.  When combined with our adjoining dining room, the Music Room, we can hold larger events for up to 100 people seated (excluding Rooftop Patio), or 180  people reception style.  The Music Room has large comfortable banquette seating, hardwood floors, and audio/visual options to set the scene for a memorable event.  The upstairs level also consists of a Rooftop Patio, dramatic in its setting amongst Charlotte’s tallest skyscrapers.  This is the perfect atmosphere for any event from wedding rehearsals or receptions, to corporate events, happy hours, birthday parties, or reunions. and has seating for up to 36 people.

The Whiskey Room upstairs at Rí Rá features an extensive range of whiskey, bottle conditioned cocktails, punches and craft beers in a warm, relaxing and fun environment. Our cocktail recipes have been developed in partnership with Jack McGarry. Jack is a partner in the Dead Rabbit which was awarded the “World’s Best Bar 2015” by Tales of the Cocktail – The Spirited Awards. There is plenty to learn about whiskey and even more to enjoy. The story of whiskey is long, fascinating and worth sharing with good company. The truth is, it’s a journey of a lifetime. So relax and enjoy. There’s no rush.

Music Room/Rooftop Patio

The Music room, our main upstairs dining space, is the ideal setting for those larger events. With wood floors throughout and comfortable banquette seating, this room can accommodate up to 62 for a seated meal or up to 150 reception style. Show posters of famous and infamous bands adorn the walls, making this a unique space for your event. Featuring a stage and a DJ booth the music room is perfect for larger occasions. Inclusive of this space is our gorgeous Rooftop Patio. The Rooftop Patio is dramatic in its setting amongst Uptown's tallest skyscrapers and the Old Mint Museum Building. This space is Uptown's hidden gem, with a relaxing atmosphere, contemporary metal furniture, Edison lighting, and a gorgeous plant box ideal for photo backdrops. This space can accommodate 38 guests for a seated meal or 48 for a reception-style event.
