Saison was conceived in San Francisco in 2009 by Chef Joshua Skenes and Wine Director Mark Bright. The restaurant is best known for redefining modern American cuisine by marrying the very best products in existence with the art of fire cooking. Saison has a 4-star rating from the San Francisco Chronicle and a 2-star rating from the MICHELIN Guide. Saison is a distinguished member of Relais & Chateaux and is the sole restaurant from California that made the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2016. Saison offers one menu daily composed of the very best of everything that we can possibly find, presented honestly. We cook without excess so that the fundamental flavors can reach their deepest points and allow the truth of an ingredient to show itself. Our dining room has no walls so that we hide nothing from ourselves or our guests. The kitchen is open to all, and the seating is one and the same—weaved throughout so we can share the sights, smells, and sounds we love with our guests.
