The journey to Maison Kasai begins in the Mr. Wanderlust lounge, where guests file through a door hidden behind a monumental stone fireplace into the French-Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, the creation of Michelin-starred LA chef Joshua Gil. Curtains can be drawn to separate four teppanyaki tables as private dining rooms; at these tables, the barstools have brass frames and a graphic Art Deco leaf pattern in golds, greens, and grays. For even more flexibility, the private dining areas can be further separated by Art Deco–inspired sliding doors whose wood frames feature intricate metal and glasswork in an abstracted botanical pattern.
