Cinema - Golden Age has lovingly restored the original screening room from Paramount Pictures’ 1940 Oceania headquarters. The room is rich in filmic history, and many of the most famous Paramount films screened here first. It’s the perfect place to premiere your ideas.

Bar - From photoshoots with Willem Dafoe to events for luxe brands like Chanel, the Golden Age Bar has hosted it all. The scene is set, with intimate nooks, a secret stage and soft halogen lighting. All that’s missing is you.

The Golden Age Cinema is the reimagined and restored screening room of the Paramount Pictures heritage-listed building. It’s a stunning backdrop, both retro and luxurious, flaunting an undeniable elegance. The theatre is a 56-seat screening room equipped with original 1940s velvet chairs from Zurich, a 140-inch screen, a 2K digital projector, PA system, and 5.1 surround sound. It’s suited to film screenings, presentations, listening sessions, and wedding ceremonies.

The Golden Age Bar features low lighting, velvet curtains, leather seating, and timber interiors. It includes a hidden stage, sound equipment, and is staffed by experienced bartenders. The space is suitable for private functions including brand events, team gatherings, birthdays, and weddings. It can accommodate up to 40 guests with seated arrangements or up to 80 standing.

Since 2013, the space has operated as a boutique venue offering an independent film program, live music events, film trivia nights, seasonal food, and a full cocktail bar. Both the cinema and bar are available for private hire for corporate and private events, including screenings, product launches, birthday and wedding celebrations. The Golden Age might just be Sydney’s most unique and picturesque building, boasting gorgeous retro interiors that make you feel the luxury of classic Hollywood.
