Located in the scenic city of the Downtown Los Angeles With private cabanas, swing seats, convertible lounge chairs, and Copacabana-style patterned tiles surrounding two swimming pools, it’s a see-and-be-seen hot spot that transitions seamlessly from day into evening. Gold palm trees and green and gold tropical tile dot the pool deck for a touch of nostalgia. The larger pool is used for swimming,  while the shallow wading pool provides a venue for live performances — such as a fire-breathing act or an underwater contortionist — when not used for sunbathing. The row of luxury cabanas provides the best seats in the house.

The focal point of the deck is Golden Hour, a striking poolside carousel bar whose rotating top is strung with lights and embellished with golden pineapples and hanging chandeliers like a Carnival float. The large, luminescent bar is visible from the streetring the imagination of passers-by. The bar top itself is made of Scarlet Crystal Quartzite, a Brazilian stone that shimmers with a blend of soft pink, pearly whites, and subtle gold hues, its translucency allowing the tones to change over time with the setting sun. 

Surrounded by a combination of lush green-upholstered barstools and whimsical wooden stools in the shapes of hands, the bar has a playful and retro atmosphere — enhanced by a cocktail list that pays homage to classic tiki culture and a menu of small plates by Chef Richard Archuleta that doubles down on poolside classics.
