Prime Seafood Palace is a contemporary restaurant inspired by Matty Matheson's East Coast roots and love for architecture. Conceptualized as a light-filled cathedral clad in white maple, in an otherwise inconspicuous white brick building.

PSP’s menu reflects a reverence for classic steakhouse principles presented with extraordinary restraint. The restaurant’s sourcing, techniques, and menu demonstrates intentional manner that elevates the classic steakhouse concept, in which the produce is treated with the same esteem as the meat and seafood. This is executed through cooking with cherry wood coals from local farms, sourcing produce from Matty’s own Blue Goose Farm, beef from Ontario, and seafood from the Atlantic. In short, the freshness and quality of the food is the star of the show - presented in a straightforward manner.

Space

Cottage

  • Seated: 14
  • Standing: 20
In contrast to the main dining space, the white washed pine interior and wood-burning stove of the rear addition to the restaurant are reminiscent of Ontario cottage country. Three pairs of steel and glass doors open the space to the exterior courtyard that fills with warm evening light in the summer months. The cottage can host non-private groups of up to 12 for a seated dinner or private groups of up to 14 guests for a seated dinner and 20 guests for a standing reception. The cottage is an intimate space that is perfect for a smaller gathering, all while providing an interactive view of the kitchen.

Main Dining Room

  • Seated: 56
  • Standing: 75
Imagined as a light-filled cathedral, lining an otherwise inconspicuous brick-clad building that blends into the city’s urban fabric. This was an exercise in taking the refinement of OG Architect’s residential work and carrying that rigour through to this commercial project, creating a warm space that holds a minimalist approach.

The Alcove

  • Seated: 8
PSP offers a semi-private area located in the main dining room that can host up to 8 guests. The space is sectioned off by a vertical brass screen that permits privacy all while offering the full sensory experience of design and architecture

Full Venue

  • Seated: 70
  • Standing: 90
A full buyout allows guests exclusive access to the Main Dining Room and the Cottage as well as a dedicated team of in-house culinary team, service staff and beverage team.
