Olmsted
- Restaurant
Named after famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted who designed nearby Prospect Park, Olmsted features a lush green garden that acts as the perfect backdrop for events year-round. Our garden offers the ideal location for your wedding or cocktail party, while our private dining room is better suited for the more intimate occasions. Olmsted's dining rooms were designed by Greg and built by his father Mike, who flew in from Chicago to help bring Greg’s vision to life. The private dining room is lined wall-to-wall with William Morris floral wallpaper, and also features custom bookshelves that display Greg's favorite cookbooks and bottles of wine. You can enter the room from the garden by walking through a hallway that features an immersive, floor-to-ceiling forest installation created by florist Michelle Double. Part Jumanji, part “The Upside Down” from the Netflix show Stranger Things, the path is filled with fragrant, preserved plants, moss, and lush greenery on every surface. For larger events, a full restaurant buyout is available. Olmsted's main dining room features a bright and airy space with high ceilings, walnut and maple butcher block dining room tables, and a living wall of greenery juxtaposed with white brick that runs the length of the dining room. No matter what the occasion, Chef Greg Baxtrom and his team will create a special seasonal, market-driven menu, as well as beverage selections for your event
