Opened in Washington D.C. in 1954, and relocated to Great Falls, Virginia in 1976, L’Auberge Chez François offers guests courtly service, a cozy environment, and delicious food with a classic French sensibility. Guests are transported to France the moment they step inside our country inn. Decorated with antiques from Alsace, including grandfather clocks, oil paintings, chandeliers, and hand-painted china, our dining rooms are complimented by fresh flowers and views of our manicured gardens. A favorite of locals as well as international travelers for over 62 years, L’Auberge Chez François will customize an experience for you and your guests for any occasion. Choose from one of our set menus featuring our most popular dishes or we can create a special menu to suit your tastes. Our sommeliers will help you select the perfect wines and cocktails to compliment your meal. If you choose, Chef Jacques will be happy to share his passion for classic and contemporary French cuisine by teaching expert cooking techniques and tricks of the trade at an entertaining, private cooking demonstration for your group.

Behind the banquette are upholstered walls of fabric from bolts Chef Jacques found at his father’s home and sconces from the National Cathedral. Le Pavillion is our latest addition, featuring sides that close ceiling fans during the warmer months and space heaters in colder weather. Jacques' Brasserie features its own separate entrance and parking area. Exclusive use of Jacques’ Brasserie, Bar Rouge, and Le Pavillion is required to host a private event.
