Located in the heart of Boston's Roslindale neighborhood, The Substation is a bold, iconic 7,100-square-foot venue designed to bring unforgettable moments to life. From weddings and milestone birthday parties, to corporate retreats and fundraising galas, our space adapts perfectly to your needs.

With two distinct levels, The Substation offers options for events of various sizes. The Main Level (Up to 150 guests) is a 3,000-square-foot industrial masterpiece featuring glazed concrete floors, massive sun-drenched windows, and original elements like our historic steel gantry crane. It’s a dramatic canvas for grand celebrations, fundraisers, and corporate activations.  The Lower Level (Under 50 guests) offers a cozy, intimate space fully equipped with tables and soft lounge seating. Ideal for smaller gatherings, focused workshops, or private VIP areas.

With a full bar and flexible dimmable lighting available, clients are invited to fully customize the space with their own decorations, linens, and flowers to perfectly reflect their vision.

Host your next intimate gathering in our unique lower-level rental space, perfect for up to 45 guests. Surrounded by the warmth of original brick walls and the historic charm of our building, the ambiance is elevated by the glow of original copper doors and a variety of dimmable lighting options. We provide furniture and can set up a limited bar—all you need to do is bring your own food and decorations to complete your perfect event.
