Guests can revel in the homely atmosphere of the private event rooms that feature fireplaces, Victorian colour palettes, carved moldings, and period furniture all complemented by hardwood floors with area rugs. However, be sure to note that these rooms are located on the second floor and are not handicap accessible.

Imagine your wedding ceremony on our delightful garden patio, followed by cocktails and hors d’oeurves and then dinner and dancing in our 19th-century period townhome that sets the standard for exceptional wedding celebrations in a private home setting. Room 24

Room 24 is Tabard's largest fully private event space, located on the second floor of the Hotel. Large sliding pocket doors open and close to make this room fully private. Room 24 faces the facade of the building, and with three large windows facing N Street, it is the room with the most daylight exposure. This room has an "L" shape, so it is a perfect location for seated events, with added space to greet guests and mingle with cocktails and hors d' oeuvres prior to the meal. Room 24 has two large decorative fireplaces, and an en suite unisex water closet. Other features of Room 24 include an upright piano, sliding pocket doors which open and close, and a dramatic eleven foot ceiling featuring ornate crown molding.

Room 26 is a lovely private dining space that can accommodate a maximum of 28 guests for a seated reception or 45 guests for a standing reception. This deceptively intimate space features an eleven foot coffered ceiling; decorative mantel and wainscoting; upright piano and unisex water closet.The Brown Parlor is an elegant, turn-of-the-century semi-private space that accommodates a maximum of 24 guests. Replete with Victorian charm, this room features a high ceiling, hardwood floors, and is the ideal room for a casual business meeting, cocktail party or sit down meal.

When combined, Rooms 24 & 26, provide enough seating for up to 63 guests for seated receptions, or stnading room for up to 115 guests in standing cocktail-style format. Room 24 is always used exclusively for the seated meal. Room 26 serves as the location to greet your guests, set up your bar, and mingle with cocktails and hors d' oeuvres.
