Double Eagle de Mesilla
The Double Eagle de Mesilla is located on the plaza in Old Mesilla. The building dates to 1849 and is recognized by the United States Department of the Interior as the oldest structure on the historic plaza, which is itself a National Historic Landmark. Passing through post-Civil War 1,000 purnd cast iron gilded entrance gates, there is a short walk to Double Eagle's massive antique oak front door. Once inside, a glittering, gilden, baccarat crystal chandelier hangs from the pressed tin ceiling. Enjoy fine dining in our Maximillian Room that has three Baccarat crystal chandeliers, measuring three fee wide and seven feet tall and contain more than 1,000 hand cut, lead crystals. The ceiling features awe-inspiring 18 and 24 carot gold pressed metal ceiling and ten Peer Mirrors surrounding the beautiful and elegant room.
